Scratched and marked façade glass is a common — and expensive-looking — problem, especially on new builds where other trades damage glazing during construction. Replacing every affected pane is costly and slow. In many cases the surface can be professionally polished and restored instead, at a fraction of the price.
As AGWA-member rope-access glaziers, we assess each pane, remove scratches and rectify defects where the glass can be saved, and replace it where it can't — all reached directly on rope, so there's no scaffold and minimal disruption to the building.

Can scratches be removed from glass, or does it need replacing?
Light to moderate surface scratches and construction marks can often be polished out and restored — far cheaper than replacement. Deep scratches, coating damage or structural defects usually mean the pane is replaced. We assess each pane and recommend what's right for it.
What causes glass defects on new buildings?
Most commonly other trades during construction — scratches from cleaning, render, concrete splatter or grinding sparks. Manufacturing defects also occur. We rectify construction glass damage so handover isn't held up by scratched glazing.
Can you do it at height without scaffold?
Yes — as rope-access glaziers we reach the affected panes directly for scratch removal, rectification or replacement, without scaffold.
